While the iPad 2 still steals the show, there were a few surprises in the most bought items on Here's what we bought this week.

1. Tablet PCs

When it comes to tablet PCs, the iPad 2 continues to rule the roost. Available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, this must-have product is 33% thinner and 15% lighter than the previous version. According to one user review on the price comparison site, this: "King of tablets is faster, better and cooler".

The value 10.2-inch A1CS X220 offers the multimedia experience at a fraction of the price. It may not be as sleek at the iPad 2 but with a price from just £219.19, it's a good alternative as is the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. If you're looking for what one user describes as the bee's knees, this hybrid tablet-cum-netbook device offers you the touchscreen experience of the iPad with the option of an additional keyboard dock.

At under £200, the Disgo tablet is another popular choice for users. While it lacks the sophistication of the more expensive models, this portable device is easy to use and comes with several applications pre-loaded.

2. Mobile phones

The Apple iPhone 4S continues to dominate the most-purchased list of mobiles. Voted the top-rated handset on, the latest version of the iPhone 4 is "a triumph from Apple!", according to one user. With incredibly advanced, brand-new features and an amazing camera, no wonder the iPhone 4S is a popular choice.

Samsung is also onto a winner with its Samsung Galaxy S II, which has been hailed as a real competitor to the iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy Ace with it's stylish interface and excellent internet browsing also proved to be a hit this week.

BlackBerry's Curve, HTC's Sensation and Desire HD all make up the rest of the most sought-after mobiles on, which shows that we are well and truly in the age of the smartphone.

3. Fitness

Get fit the easier way, thanks to the Crazy Fit Vibration Massage Plate exercise machine, which still seems to appear highly on the list. Essentially, the vibrations wobble your bits and bobs, helping you to tone up and tackle those hard-to-reach places. One user would "highly recommend it to anyone who wants to tone their body up, or even lose weight".

"Belt up and shake your booty!" with the craze still hitting the nation. The Zumba DVD and Zumba for Wii both appear on last week's list of most popular buys, offering you the chance to get fit in the comfort of your own home. One user at said: "I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys dance games and has a Nintendo Wii."

4. Beauty

It seems we're all looking to brighten up our image with a change of hair colour, if the best beauty buys are anything to go by. Wella Viva Shades and Toners is a top choice as is Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL, which, according to one user on "Leaves hair in good condition and is easily and cheaply available in bright colours." Cult beauty buy Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat also makes the grade as it "uses light reflective technology rather than just covering".

Described by one user as: "A miracle cream", Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour cream is another top beauty buy that continues to be popular. In terms of scents, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle eau de toilette spray continues to be the most popular scent while another iconic beauty treat, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm because it offers "instantaneous results and youthful, radiant and vibrant skin."

5. Household appliances

It may feel as if spring is a long way away but users have been snapping up vacuum cleaners this week. The Numatic Henry - or as one Ciao user says: "Henry's your man" - made it onto this week's list, alongside the powerful Dyson DC25 All Floors.

Other household-related goods include the Delonghi Dem 10 dehumidifier. It may not be a particularly glamorous purchase but if your windows suffer with condensation and you find it a nightmare drying your clothes in the winter, a dehumidifier is a must. Put simply, in the words of one user, the "water extraction rate is superb, it really does work and do what it says on the box."
