Will Rosie’s knickers fit?

So, the delectable Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is designing an underwear range for Marks & Spencer's Autograph line.

The Devon-born beauty, who already models for the retailer has teamed up with the brand to create a 33-piece collection for the high street behemoth.

According to Kate Bostock, Marks & Spencer's executive director of clothing, "[Rosie] really understands beautiful lingerie and what works on the body."

Well, of course she understands what works on her body - she's a lingerie model and a Victoria's Secret Angel for pity's sake. She's made her fortune flaunting her perfect 10 physique.

What worries me about her foray into knickers is that what works on her enviable frame might not translate so well on 'real women'.

I mean, she is the ultimate crush as there is not an inch of cellulite or the hint of a sagging bosom on the girl, which is why I'm slightly dubious about whether her bras and kimonos will fit the average woman.

Underwear ranges seem to becoming a savvy model's plan B and a very lucrative career choice - Elle Macpherson, Bar Refaeli, Helena Christensen and Gisele have all stamped their mark in the lingerie retail sector and business is booming - they've accrued a small fortune peddling their pants and it seems Rosie is about to do the same.

I can't vouch for all of the underwear ranges - how comfortable they are and if they cover a range of sizes - but I suppose what I can vouch for is that by purchasing them you are buying into the aspirations that they might help you look a tiny bit like the Supers modelling them and at least give you a little boost (so to speak).

So maybe in that sense Rosie really does understand beautiful lingerie after all...
