Forget New York and Paris. London is the fashion capital of the world - and that's official.
Global Language Monitor (a company which trawls the blogosphere and world's media to analyse the most talked about trends) has compiled its annual list of 50 fashionable cities - and London has come out top for the second year running.
So what gave us the edge over New York, in second place, and Paris, in third? While the Olympics and Kate Middleton's emergence as a fashion icon undoubtedly helped tip the style balance, there are plenty more jewels to celebrate in London's fashion crown...

The world is imploding, people are starving, there are wars and crimes against humanity everywhere, and we are distracted from real events of consequence to drool over fashion and Kate's latest tax payers gift of some designer togs.....we will get the world we deserve, shallow and self obsessed. Still don't take my word for it just sit back and watch, you won't miss it but by the time people wake up it might be too late.
