With fashion's elite taking to the catwalk at the Olympics Closing Ceremony, the Spice Girls returning to the stage for the first time in years and Jessie J undergoing several risqué outfit changes, was the closing ceremony to the London 2012 Olympic Games the most glamorous we've seen yet? We think so!
Britain's most iconic supermodels took to the stage to inject a big shot of glamour into the closing ceremony, with Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lily Cole, Stella Tennant, Georgia May Jagger, Karen Elson, Jourdan Dunn and David Gandy strutting their stuff down the catwalk. Watch this space folks, as MSN Her will be interviewing Mr Gandy later this week to find out what he thought of it all.

London has put on a great show, but there is a Great Britain North of Watford Gap where many of our Olympians live, train and have got us medals, so instead of having the Medal Procession just in London, our Olympians should do a Coach Tour of the Country say up the East coast to Scotland cross into Northern Ireland back down the West Coast into Wales and across to the Midlands down into Devon and Cornwall then back to London making slow procession through various towns. That would give everyone a chance to see our olympians and give them a well earned cheer, because we have all played our part these games, though I think sometimes the powers that be seem to forget that.

Was that really the BEST of British talent? I don't think so!!! Also , why include George Michael who's just come out of prison???? That speaks volumes. He's an old 'has been ' who is well 'past it' as was Ray Davies.
It was VISUALLY spectacular, but woefully defunct when it came to the best of British Music.
I'm sure there were singers and other musicians who are much better performers.
I didn't mind the Spice girls or One Direction. At least you could hear the words! The rest were shambolic and silly and just plain rowdy. As for the stupid 'back up people girating away on the set - even I could do better than that and I'm an OAP!!!

i think we should have had singing in the rain !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i thought the reason for the closing bit was to have a party for the hard working people that had done anything at all for the last two weeks , the only naff dits as far as watching it on tv was , the camera shots did not make much of the fireworks, i think a split screen all through the games would have been helpfull. and the sound man on the "head set" mikes was probibally having a nightmare and we couldnt hear the singers on the tv. I think we forget just how difficult wireing up the building would have been they deserve a gold medal each for that.
Apart from that ok some of it didnt sute everyone but we r not all the same , so stop moaning, and enjoy being British!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x

I loved both the opening and closing ceremony as it really showed what great britain is about! I really loved the fact that british fashion was incorporated into it and that there was a brazilian carnival scene at the end! I'm so sad the olympics is over but the paralympics will begin soon and I look forward to it!

David Gandy is a gorgeous looking guy but is he really the only well known male model this country has? I thought the closing ceremony was great myself, no doubt there will be people moaning about something or other to do with it, as people do love a moan. But I personally thought it was a good closing show. A VERY WELL DONE to all the British Olympians who helped the UK finish in 3rd place - considering how much bigger the USA and China are to us, and how much more money they use to train their athletes, our athletes have done us proud.

The Olympic closing was full of old has beens. What's Annie Lennox,George Michael etc done in the last few years that have been successful? George Michael ex jailbird and toilet flasher. Annie Lennox more neurotic than anything else.Macca crops up to sing 'Hey Jude' for the umpteenth time.Elton John who **** better than he sings these days. Pet Shop Parrots and bloody Spice Girls? tired unimaginative tripe that has little or nothing to do with 2012. Maybe someone should have reminded the organisers that they should consult the Guiness Book of Hit singles and remind themselves of some real 'iconic' PERFORMERS instead of a bunch that would appear at the openning of an envelope.The biggest laugh was Brian May and Roger Taylor being billed as Queen! Half of Queen maybe but unless you were pissed and boss eyed while watching there were definately no Queen.Not even Paul Rogers!.
