Next's design team have created an exclusive range of formalwear looks for all the athletes of Team GB and ParalympicsGB to sport on official occasions during the London 2012 Games.
The collection comes in midnight blue with discreet touches of gold. See some of Team GB as they ditch their tracksuits for something much more dapper.

CPHar that's because they are not. Next is just a good high street shop. Presumably the cash ran out for the likes of designers such as Stella McMartney who did the sportswear. Chris X if you are going to play the race card, at least get your facts right. No Burka wearing female would be allowed to perform in any kind of public display. Your comment does however lend clout to the female human rights issues around today. Thank you for that!

If the team wear this rubbish before competing they will be reducing their chances of winning anything. Those shoes look very uncomfortable and could give blisters. Sweating beneath polyester could give you a nasty rash and slow you down. They should get all these suits and set fire to them. Why would they want to look like they are off to an office job anyway?

JH _ You make no sense. I live in East London. I see many women in Burka's out every day, shopping, at the cinema, and even at the Olympic test events they have recently held. Even white women that have converted. Allah doesn't ban his followers from public events.

Then you know nothing about Islam in the UK if you believe that a woman is prohibited from attending a sporting event etc. There may be such intolerant rules in Saudi however in Britain, where the Olympics are being held, and where tolerance of the intolerable exists, there are not.

Public displays prohibited are such as sport, ballet. music or festivals. Board/ banner waving is acceptable assuming they reside in countries that allow that! Name one please 'cos i am at a loss.

JH - Muslims aren't a race. Take your own advice re: facts. Women who wear Burka's can be involved in public displays. Just when they do they are covered head to toe displaying their intolerance for the world to see.

I think we are losing sight of the fact that the olympics is about sport and each individuals performance for his country. Not making money and business opportunities for every company that thinks they have a claim to be the "official" this or that.
