Watch out Williamson and Westwood, step aside Smith: there's a new crop of talent in town. A showcase for up-and-coming designers, London Fashion Week has been the launchpad for some of the industry's most ridiculously successful names. And thanks to funding and nurturing schemes like Vauxhall Fashion Scout, NEW GEN and Fashion East, there's no shortage of gifted upstarts for AW12. Keep your peepers peeled for our pick of the most promising fashion talent.

Style signatures: luxe materials, graphic print and statement accessories

Cutting her teeth designing exquisite womenswear and accessories for Lanvin, RCA graduate Holly Fulton decided to go solo in 2009 and hasn't looked back. Her strong aesthetic - simple silhouettes enhanced by geometric patterns, heavy embellishment and art deco-esque jewels - has already won her a burgeoning celebrity following, an Asos collaboration and a mantelpiece full of awards, from Scottish Designer of the Year to the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent.

Why do they keep on changing the fashions because some of them are really nice

but others are horrible. Maybe they should give us a chance to actually buy rather

than watching

It's the only way that they make any money, given what they pay these walking matchsticks, by planned obsolescence and getting the gullible to repeatedly change their clothes to be in fashion.

Clothes used to be designed to fit the bodies - now we neeed to adjust our bodies to fit the clothes!

Some of the girls look as they run away from the casting rooms from Twilight - the film or form some High Security rehab - Is this really a cellebration of female body???

Long live Vivienne \Westwood.
