Only one day left of London Fashion Week, but we already have a mountain of striking looks lined up for next spring. Among the designers who showcased their collections are Peter Pilotti, Antonio Berardi, GILES and Erdem.
Ones to Watch
As ever Vauxhall Fashion Scouts 'Ones to Watch' show was a highlight of the day. Each season they showcase four young designers, and it's always a great opportunity to spot the next big thing. This season we saw collections by Heohwan Simultion, Myrza De Muynck, Anne Sofie Madsen, and Nova Chiu. Between them they covered the fashion spectrum, from Heohwan's sleek, uber-stylish, ready-to-wear designs, to Nova Chiu's Meadham Kirchhoff-esque creations which were a clashing cacophony of fabrics, colours and exotic influences. As with many Scandinavian designers Anna Sofie Madsen's collection was dark and brooding and ranged from mud-splattered mini-skirts and leggings, to heavily embellished bodycon dresses. Myrza De Muynck's collection had a sports-luxe feel, and consisted of slim-line quilted and embellished varsity jackets, all-in-ones and two-tone trouser-cum-leggings in sorbet shades. Of all the collections Heohwan Simulation stood out as the most polished, while Nova Chiu's was the most thrilling visually. All four designers showed great skill and talent and we can't wait to see what they do next.
