Forget all that sport malarkey. The fiercest competition at this year's Olympics is in the sartorial stakes. With Stella McCartney outfitting Team GB and the likes of Prada, Armani and Scervino designing national kits and uniforms, the London 2012 Games are set to be the most stylish ever. Athletes doing their thing in head-to-toe high-end labels works for us. But are these catwalk-friendly creations any good - and how do they measure up against the less luxurious offerings? Cast a discerning eye upon our round-up of the most talked-about kits and uniforms, from the frumpy to the fabulous - and see if you can guess which squad's get-up will get fashion gold.

Team Spain
Kit and uniform by Bosco Sport

Languishing at the bottom of the fashion league table, Team Spain's Olympic outfits were blagged on the cheap from Russian sportswear brand Bosco. And it looks as if you really do get what you pay for: a jarring combo of 70s Eastern Bloc kitsch and 80s brashness, the threads were launched to a barrage of criticism. From the very wrong flared trackies and bizarre baroque flourishes to the unintentionally mismatched shades of red, they're a bit of an embarrassment. No wonder they couldn't find any willing living models for the big reveal.
