The Pure Package daily selection(Pure Package)

There's something heart-warmingly lovely about waking up in the morning to find a parcel of food has been delivered to your door overnight.

Discovering a smart black ice bag packed with tasty and nutritional foods for the day ahead just gives you a warm feeling. It's a bit like being at school again when your mum made your packed lunch for you.

I recently decided to check out the Pure Package Little Black Dress programme, which has been designed to get people into tip top shape for the party season.

We all want to look our best when on a night out, but beauty is not just skin deep and the glossy hair, healthy nails and glowing skin we all strive for will ultimately come from the foods we eat. If your diet has left you feeling a little lacklustre of late, help is at hand thanks to this food delivery service which packs a real nutritional punch to leave you feeling fabulous.

"As the festive partying takes its toll, help your body recover by eating foods containing Vitamins E, B and C, all of which give our immune systems a well needed boost," advises Pure Package nutritionist Kate Cook. "They also give our hair and skin a healthy glow, helping you to look and feel radiant. The Pure Package's asparagus and smoked chicken salad is great for this as not only is it delicious, it contains asparagus which is packed full of Vitamin E".

The menu is indeed tasty and satisfying - alongside your breakfast, lunch and dinner there are two snacks and even a dessert! I didn't feel hungry once while on my three-day trial - and I don't think I've eaten as healthily since I tried a detox programme many, many moons ago.

Each morning a daily menu arrives with your package, with cooking instructions for your evening dinner (honestly, I felt so spoilt when I opened up each parcel).

Breakfast choices included a delicious cinnamon and apple muesli (this was fantastic, I wanted to learn how to make it myself), fresh orange segments with organic rye bread and peanut butter, plus a spiced pot of stewed apples, cinnamon and live, natural yoghurt.

A Pure Package meal(Pure Package)

I chose the vegetarian option and for lunch enjoyed a choice of falafel and tabbouleh, Indonesian Gado Gado salad (free-range stirred eggs on a baby potato and mixed vegetable salad in a lightly spiced peanut and coconut sauce) and a mustard cress and egg open sandwich.

For dinner there was Chana Masala (a lightly spiced chickpea and tomato curry), herb crusted courgette and tomato gratin (my personal fave - absolutely delicious) and Nasi Goreng (an Indonesian-style dish of stir-fried Tempeh and soy marinated brown rice served with bok choy and mange tout).

The Pure Package menu is designed to get you eating the right foods in the right portions and uses ingredients from ethical sources. Each meal contains complex carbohydrates (rather than the refined ones) which contain vital fibre, vitamins and minerals and break down slowly in the body, preventing hunger pangs and helping to maintain steady blood sugar levels.

Celebrities including Erin O Connor, Rachel Stevens and Patsy Kensit all follow the expert advice of the Pure Package to ensure they look and feel great throughout the festive period. With carefully tailored menus and seasonal food sourced from local suppliers, you can ensure that your diet is uplifting even if you don't feel it the morning after!

Prices start at £26.95 a day. Visit www.purepackage.com to find out more.
