Biography: Jon Bowen
Jon Bowen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1992 and spent eight years working as a veterinary surgeon in general practice. As a result of seeing the impact that pet behaviour problems had on his clients he took a postgraduate diploma in companion animal behaviour counselling at Southampton University. He is the author of numerous book chapters and articles on behaviour, and is a member of the Feline Advisory Bureau behaviour expert panel. Jon sees behaviour problem cases at the RVC, where he is also honorary lecturer in behaviour.
Jon's own menagerie currently consists a five year old Labrador retriever called Harry, a 17 year old black and white cat called Scarlet, and two elderly tortoises called Flash and Harriet.
